Yeoor Hills Lakes

Yeoor hills blooms in monsoon. The place has many lakes inside it but most of them are manmade which is formed by the old quarries. These quarries were formed when these mountain were used for its rocks many years back. The quarries now collect water during monsoon and lakes are formed. Some are shallow some are deep.

There are around 6 major lakes formed in the vicinity of yeoor hills. The most famous are the one near the airforce station also called khadani(Quarry in english) and other at the Manpada side which is barricaded and right at the entrance gates of Yeoor. This one is also the deepest of all the Yeoor lakes where once it had crocodiles in it. Also almost all the yeoor lakes have taken a toll on human life.

Young kids usually try to venture deep and get drown in these lakes making the restrictions more stronger in visiting these lakes. All of the yeoor lakes are deep and dangerous where as the shallow ones might have slushy base where one can get stuck.
