Yeoor entry can be quite confusing to first timers. The main catch of the place is that due to the airforce station in the area most of the places in yeoor is restricted. Adding to the nuisance cased by young people and drunkards leading to increase case of drowning is encouraging the place to get more restricted.
There is a lot to see in Yeoor but one should know where, when and how.
The main entry of Yeoor is from the Upvan side where there is ghat road which climbs up the yeoor hills. This entry is guarded due to airforce. However if you come up from here to visit yeoor you are not going to see anything apart from roads, hotels, villages. People often get mistaken and come to Yeoor via Upvan and pay heavy entry tickets to go up and eventually seeing nothing. This is only for the morning walkers to do exercise and village people or airforce duties.
The second main entry in terms of scenic point of view is from Manpada side near Tikujiniwadi. Here you can park your vehicles at the base. Pay entry fee per person and trek up the hills to see the real natural beauty which is what Yeoor is all about. The lakes, rivers, waterfalls are all the part of this side.
The Yeoor part from Upvan side is subjected to encroachment by politicians bungalow, business people bungalow, illegal hotels, pubs and party bars. All this is happening right in between the green lungs of Mumbai National Park. If you want to visit the real nature beauty with peace vibes, entry from Upvan side is not to be done.

ReplyDeletePlease avoid going becoz there are looting at gate for your vehicle and personal entry also. Entry Staff is bullshit and ask for bribe anything from 100 to 300 without pass
ReplyDeleteYes its a problem there while trying to get entry. Sometimes they take money sometimes they dont. Only early morning the gates are open for free. No proper rules for entry. :(
DeleteExotica Hotel Yeoor Hills is third class hotel. Place to loot you for anything no proper food tasteless menu. Staff no more concern about service. Triple times you have to pay for everything. Worst place and worst experience. Only usp lucky hotel build in creepy jungle. Better visit some hill station or any nice family resort.
ReplyDeleteHotels in yeoor are private so cannot comment on that. Just one day outing, camping or trekking or daily walks in yeoor is good. If you want a real hillstation feeling western ghats are better option.

ReplyDeleteThe person collecting entry fee was asking for 150 rs without any receipt, whereas as per rule he is supposed to take 350 rs. Such a shame!! What kind of officials our country have!! Even responsible citizens are not asking for receipt and simply paying whatever asked for!!

ReplyDeleteWe also visited on October 2020 .on entry gate each car they are taking 200/300 rupee without any receipts. We already booked hotel but they forcefully ask money ....anyone have to take action against this
